Ponder supports Good Company clients with technical and market research, special projects management and strategic stakeholder outreach.
Currently, Ponder is coordinating the collection of more than 100 economic, environmental and social performance indicators for use in the production and writing of a corporate responsibility report for the Eugene Water & Electric Board.
Ponder also supports Context Sensitive and Sustainable Solutions activities on high profile bridge bundles funded by the Oregon Transportation Investment Act for David Evans and Associates and OBEC Consulting Engineers. This work includes identification of environmentally-preferred inputs, supporting external communication with key project stakeholders and reporting on project sustainability performance.
Before joining Good Company, Ponder worked as a Research Analyst at the Appalachian State University Energy Center where he assisted regional utilities in complying with the N.C. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards Act. While at the Energy Center he conducted an economic impact analysis of various greenhouse gas emission reduction and mitigation strategies for the N.C. Climate Action Plan Advisory Group and developed and coordinated a green business certification program.
Ponder also brings first-hand knowledge and experience of environmental and sustainability policymaking serving as Executive Director of the Montana Public Interest Research Group from 2000 to 2004.
Ponder has a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
