Proudfoot's primary role is supporting clients with market development and management programs for infrastructure, renewable energy and environmental technologies. As a principal, Proudfoot is involved in a wide range of corporate and government client work.

For government, Proudfoot has recently consulted for the Portland Office of Transportation, the Eugene Water & Electric Board, and the Oregon Department of Transportation - Office of Innovative Partnerships & the Sustainability Program.

For corporations, Proudfoot has recently consulted for Community Energy Systems, Plas2Fuel, David Evans and Associates, IB Roof Systems, Silver Eagle Manufacturing, Recology, Aadland Evans Constructors, Hamilton Construction and OBEC Consulting Engineers on market development and management strategies.

Proudfoot currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Cascade Sierra Solutions. He also serves on the review panel for the Sustainability Indicators Research Initiative of the Transportation Research Board's National Cooperative Highway Research Program. He is the Business Advisor to the City of Eugene's Climate and Energy Action Planning team and serves on the Low Carbon Fuel Advisory Committee formed by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.

He earned his Masters degree in Education from Antioch University-Seattle and his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon.
