Campus Sustainability Assessments
There is a growing consensus that a sustainable campus is a better campus
in terms of the health and well being of its occupants, its financial
performance, and the educational experiences it provides.
However, most campuses are realizing that they lack a coherent and informed
starting point for sustainability efforts: no inventory of individual
staff, student and faculty efforts, poor data on campus-wide performance,
no single resource to clarify understanding of the challenges at hand
and how they relate to the campus. A quality assessment can fill this
gap.
Our campus sustainability assessment will document your key successes,
chart a path toward sustainability, and gather the support and involvement
needed to ensure ongoing success. We can identify low-hanging fruit and
high-leverage, cost-effective opportunities, drawing on best practices
nationwide while incorporating your school's specific needs.
Our integrated set of social and environmental indicators and benchmarks
delivers relevant information that is invaluable for communicating with
key stakeholders, setting priorities, and identifying risks.
Where Do We Start?
Good Company offers comprehensive campus assessments that provide a
clear view to the road to sustainability.
Our independent assessments provide meaningful snapshots of campus performance
that include stakeholders, reduce costs, increase effectiveness of planning
and communication, and align values with actions. Good Company's Sustainability
Pathways Toolkit can be customized to meet each campus' specific needs.
What's The Process?
The assessment and all deliverables can be completed in 4-6 months from
the signing of the contract. This includes 10-12 weeks for interviews
and other information gathering, as well as time to gather report draft
feedback and scheduling final presentations. The information is compiled
using extensive phone and e-mail contact, and 2-3 site visits.
