What is Sustainability?

Sustainability is a complicated-sounding word for a very simple idea: operating companies, schools, public agencies, and other institutions in a way that supports financial, environmental, and community well-being over the long term. These three goals are also collectively referred to as the "triple bottom line."

Good Company sees sustainability as far more than just "the environment." Our work extends beyond ecological issues to include people and the institutions and communities that support them. We strive to help clients balance sustainability's many goals and trade-offs in a manner that works with each organization's values, culture, and financial realities.

Ultimately, Good Company knows that sustainability offers companies and organizations of all sizes the opportunity to align their policies and practices with what their constituencies want -- a true win-win strategy.
