Ready to become more sustainable but want to learn more before diving in? Want to see if you are doing everything that you can for your sustainability program? Need to meet others who are addressing sustainability efforts in their organization and compare notes? Want to position yourself to meet the sustainability needs of a potential client or new market?
Good Company has designed and facilitated over thirty-five full-day seminars since 2004 to help businesses and government to successfully learn about and adopt sustainability measures. Some of these seminars are customized to a specific industry, organization or department within an organization and others are general enough to be applicable to multiple industries and sectors. Teaching these seminars has honed our ability to understand where you need assistance in understanding difficult sustainability concepts and how these issues relate to your work.
Topics have included the foundations of sustainability, sustainable purchasing, sustainable development, sustainability indicators and assessment, calculating carbon footprints, preparing for climate risk, facilitating public/private partnerships and making authentic sustainability claims about your organization, products and services. Sustainability coordinators, business owners and leaders, government staff, engineers and more request and attend these seminars. They are a great way to network with others who share the same values, mission and passion to affect change in their organization.
Good Company teaches workshops though the University of Oregon’s Sustainability Leadership Program and through the Environmental Outreach and Stewardship (EOS) Alliance in Seattle, Washington. We also provide requested customized trainings to industry trade associations, individual organizations, executive boards and departments to address sustainability-related education needs.
